Los Angeles – SoundGirls – Allen & Heath – Rat Sound Systems Presents dLive Training

We invite you to attend our training event on the dLive digital mixing system from Allen & Heath. The design goal for dLive was to create the ultimate mixing system, with plenty of processing and flexibility to handle the most demanding live scenarios.

The day is built around an immersive combination of presentation and hands-on training designed to showcase the dLive’s power and flexibility across multiple applications.

We will be hosting two days of training, each day features two sessions –

Training is free but space is limited. You must register for each session you wish to attend.

Dec. 17 – Power / Networking – Workshop on Best Practice for Power

3 phase power vs. single phase

Clean power source

Isolating transformers

Battery backups

What you must know

Multi-meter

Dynamic Load

TCP/IP and the dot whatevers

Audio via Cat5 (Dante, AVB, etc.)

SoundGirls.Org – NAMM – She Rocks Awards

The last week has been a whirlwind of activity for SoundGirls.Org. We welcomed several members from around the globe to Anaheim and NAMM last week. It was so fantastic to meet members in person and I know everyone had a great time meeting up and hanging out with each other.

 Solid State Logic is hosting a series of free one-day Operator Training Courses for SoundGirls.Org members. The training will take place at Rat Sound Systems Inc. – at their headquarters in Camarillo, CA.  There are currently four one day events scheduled: Dec. 8 – 11th. The one day courses will provide an introduction to the SSL Live console and include hands on time with the console for all participants. These events are completely free but numbers are strictly limited. There is space for nine SoundGirls.Org members per day. First Come – First Served. A social media post of an Audix OM7 and we get asked, which is better, an OM7 or Shure SM58? A facebook post of a show using an L-Acoustics K1 system and a photo of a show using an EAW Anya system, and suddenly the question pops up, which is the best speaker? (more…)
