Shadowing Opportunity – Cult of Luna – Europe

SoundGirls that are interested in learning more about live sound production are invited to shadow FOH engineer Christoph Noth for Cult of Luna.  They will be touring Europe in March 2023.

The details.

You must be over 18 and have liability insurance and agree to follow local venue/artist covid protocols. You will be able to stay for the show. Three SoundGirls per show. You will attend soundcheck and then be able to return for the show. If you are interested please apply here.

Shadow FOH & Monitors on Milky Chance

SoundGirls have been invited to shadow Marcus Wimmer (monitor engineer) and Achim Lindermeir (FOH Engineer) on Milky Chance. SoundGirls will be able to shadow both engineers and will get a chance to observe a large scale production. You must be 18 to apply and be pursuing a career in live sound. You will be expected to show up for load-in and stay until load-out.

Marcus Wimmer Monitor Engineer: Started working in the industry in 1999 and is still touring as aFOH/MON engineer for different live acts mostly in Germany and the rest of Europe. In 2009 he started working as a lecturer for technical communications at the IHK adult education: Bachelor professional of event technique and in 2018 started giving workshops for Vectorworks Spotlight. He has been touring with Milky Chance since 2014. He has worked with Milky Chance, Sasha, MightyOaks, Bananafishbones, Shelly Bonet, Liquido, Killerpilze, Itchy Poopskid, Livingston, Django3000, theHeimatdamisch

Achim Lindermeir FOH Engineer: Started in the industry in 1991 as a musician and switched over to a mixing console in 2000. He has worked with Heather Nova, Emil Bulls, Schandmaul, Milky Chance, Martin Herzberg, Andreas Kümmert, Royal Republic, SSIO, Parcels, Claire, Agnostic Front, Mighty Oaks and more.

Shadow FOH, Monitors, and Lighting Designer

SoundGirls have been invited to shadow the FOH and Monitor Engineers, and Lighting Designer on Billie Eilish.

SoundGirls will be able to shadow both engineers and LD and will get a chance to observe a touring production. You must be 18 to apply and be pursuing a career in live sound or lighting. You will be expected to show up for load-in and stay until load-out.

There are only two dates available, and we will select three people per date (FOH, Monitors, L.D.)

April 8th – Sacramento

April 11th  -Vancouver.

You will be notified if you have been accepted on Feb. 26. SoundGirls applying are responsible for all travel expenses.

Shadow on David Haines on Alessia Cara

Members of SoundGirls have the chance to shadow David Haines (FOH) on Alessia Cara.

Details:

You are invited to apply to shadow David as they come through Texas. You will arrive at load-in and stay until load-out.  Specific Times will be TBD. David Haines is FOH for Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, John Legend, and more.

Shadow on City and Colour

Members of SoundGirls have the chance to shadow Meaghan McEachren (Monitor Engineer) and Jon Halliwell (FOH Engineer) on City and Colour.

Details:

You are invited to apply to shadow Meaghan and Jon.  They will take two hours to tour their production and day to day life on the road. Two SoundGirls per date.

The time of arrival would be 10 am local time and will conclude at 12 noon.
You will need a hard hat and steel toe shoes/boots.

Shadow Michelle Sabolchick Pettinato on Elvis Costello

Members of SoundGirls have the chance to shadow Michelle Sabolchick Pettinato.

Michelle is currently on tour with Elvis Costello as FOH Engineer. She can have up to four people to shadow her on the dates listed below.  Please only apply if you are serious about shadowing. The info is as follows, no exceptions.  You will be expected to arrive by 11 am (if you are not 15 minutes early, you are 15 minutes late) and can stay until line check is over.  Unfortunately, the soundchecks are closed, and you will need to leave the venue before 4 pm.  If Michell can and space allows, she will provide passes to also shadow her at FOH for the show.

Shadowing Opportunity w/ FOH Engineer Kevin Madigan

SoundGirls Members who are actively pursuing a career in Live Sound or Concert Production are invited to shadow FOH Engineer Kevin Madigan.

The experience will focus on FOH Mixing. This is open to SoundGirls members ages 18 and over. There is one spot available for each show. Call times are TBD, and members will most likely be invited to stay for the show (TBD).

Kevin is currently on tour Santana.
